WELCOME TO MY BLOG

My name is Barbara Frone and I welcome you to my blog. I pray that my walk with God will encourage your heart and that God will bless you for every step you take towards him. God has a plan for each and every one of us and if we will earnestly seek him every day, he will not only show us his plan for our lives, but he will live it through us. We serve an amazing God!

Day 3: ONE YEAR THROUGH THE BIBLE

"God does not leave you wondering whether you are saved or not.  He tells you outright that you are His and that nothing can ever separate you from the love of Christ.  Not even sin because His blood is greater than your sin."  Joseph Prince

GOD LOVES YOU

Ephesians 2:4-6
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

SING TO THE LORD

Exodus 15:2

The Lord is my strength and my song

He is become my salvation
The Lord is my strength and my song
He is my God
And I will prepare him a habitation
My Father's God,  I will exalt him,
I will exalt him, I will exalt him, I will exalt him
The Lord is my strength and my song

 PRAISE THE LORD

Exodus 15:11

Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods?  Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

THANK THE LORD

1 Corinthians 1:4-5

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; that in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterances, and in all knowledge.

Day 2: ONE YEAR THROUGH THE BIBLE

"The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety."  George Mueller

GOD LOVES YOU

Nehemiah 8:10(b) "The joy of the LORD is my strength."  The joy of the Lord is YOU.  You are his treasure.  He died for you.  He gave up his life, so you and him could spend eternity together.  This is your strength, knowing that YOU are the Lord's joy.

SING TO THE LORD

Psalm 1 Scripture Song

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly
nor standeth in the way of sinners
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful,
But his delight is in the law of the LORD
and in his law doth he meditate day and night

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season
his leaf also shall not wither

But his delight is in the law of the LORD
and his law doth he meditate day and night

And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper, The ungodly are not so
but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous
but the way of the ungodly shall perish

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous
but the way of the ungodly shall perish

 PRAISE THE LORD

Exodus 15:2

The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation:  he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

THANK THE LORD

Psalm 95:1-7(a)

O come, let us sing unto the LORD:  let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.  For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.  In his hand are the deep places of the earth:  the strength of the hills is his also.  The sea is his, and he made it:  and his hands formed the dry land.  O come, let us worship and bow down:  let us kneel before the LORD our maker.  For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

PRAY TO THE LORD
1 Peter 5:7
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

MEDIATE ON THE WORD

Psalm 91:11-12

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.  They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Day 1: ONE YEAR THROUGH THE BIBLE

"Do not have your concert first, and then tune your instrument afterwards.  Begin the day with the Word of God and prayer, and get first of all into harmony with Him."  Hudson Taylor

GOD LOVES YOU

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

SING TO THE LORD

2 Samuel 22:47 Scripture Song:
The Lord is alive, Blessed be my rock
The Lord is alive, Blessed be my rock
Exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation
Exalted be the God of the rock of my strength
The Lord is alive, Blessed be my rock
The Lord is alive, Blessed be my rock
Exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation
Exalted be the God of the rock of my strength

PRAISE THE LORD

Psalm 34:1-3
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.  My soul shall make her boast in the Lord:  the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.  O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

THANK THE LORD

1 Chronicles 29:10-13
Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.  Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.  Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.  Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

Introduction: ONE YEAR THROUGH THE BIBLE LIKE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN THROUGH THE BIBLE BEFORE

These daily posts will take you through the Bible like you probably have never been through the Bible before.  The idea for theses posts came as I was thinking about creating something for myself to keep me on track, not just for reading through the Bible but also for meditating and speaking the Word over my life.  Every day will have the following sections:  GOD LOVES YOU, SING TO THE LORD, PRAISE THE LORD, THANK THE LORD, PRAY TO THE LORD, MEDIATE ON THE WORD, READ THE WORD, and STUDY THE WORD.

GOD LOVES YOU will have a Scripture verse reminding you how much God loves you.  I believe we need to be reminded of God's love daily.

SING TO THE LORD will have a Scripture song for you to sing throughout the day.  If you do not know the song, Bible Baptist Church in Fairbanks, Alaska, has graciously put scripture songs onto their website.  Their website address is  www.biblebaptistfairbanks.com.

PRAISE THE LORD will have a verse for you to use for praising the Lord throughout your day.

THANK THE LORD will have a verse for you to use to thank the Lord.

PRAY TO THE LORD will have a verse for you to read, but this is the time for you to give your cares and requests to the Lord.  If you have the time, I would suggest you write down your prayer requests in black or blue ink and when the Lord answers your prayer, go back and write the date he answered in red ink.  This will be a great way for you to see the faithfulness of the Lord.

MEDITATE ON THE WORD will list a verse for you to meditate on throughout the day.  I would also encourage you to write down what the Lord reveals to you about this verse.  There are many layers of truth in every word in the Bible and what the Lord reveals to you about them depends on where you are in your walk with him, what questions you have asked him, and what he wants to teach you at the moment.

READ THE WORD will list verses for you to read for that day.  I want to encourage you to just read these verses.  Reading is different from meditating or studying, but still very important.

STUDY THE WORD will give you verses to study.  Here I want you to read one verse at a time and picture it in your mind.  Think about each word in the verse.  Look up words you do not understand.  I use only the King James Version for my studies, but I use the Amplified and the NIV to clarify verses for me.  I also use a Strong's Concordance to look up words in Hebrew or Greek.  The Lord will also speak to your spirit during this time, so be sensitive to that.

I pray this way of going through the Bible will be a blessing to you.
