ARE YOU FEEDING ON THE BREAD OF LIFE EVERY DAY?

The Lord taught me a valuable lesson today.  It was about 4 1/2 years ago when I started doubting my salvation.  I had many questions on my heart, but I had no answers.  I asked several people the questions I had and even though they answered me, their answers still left me with more questions.  So I picked up my Bible and started reading it.  To my amazement everything I read confirmed in my heart that I was not only saved, but saved forever.  Jesus answered every one of my questions and I have not had any more doubts of my salvation.

Before I share with you what the Lord taught me today, I have to take you to what happened yesterday.  I listened to a sermon where the preacher said that we should never come to the Bible looking for a formula or a technique, but we should always come to the Bible looking for Jesus.  He also said we need to bring all of our cares to Jesus every day and then go about our day singing and enjoying our lives just as if we had already received what we asked for.  Sounded good to me, so this morning I got up and did just that.  I told Jesus all of my cares and went about my day.  But to my surprise, I had a horrible day!  Everything upset me.  My soul was very restless.  Listening to sermons always makes me feel better and I often feel the message is speaking directly to me, so I listened to a sermon and wasn't surprised when I heard the message.

Here is the message in a nutshell.  Jesus is our manna from heaven, the Bread of life and we need to feed on him every day.  And here is when God brought me full circle.  He took me back to 4 1/2 years ago when I came to His Word with questions on my heart and He reminded me that everything I read answered my questions.  God told me that that is my answer to all of my questions and cares.  I need to come to His Word every day with my questions and cares and feed on His manna, the Bread of life, Jesus, and while I am reading and beholding Jesus', He will answer my questions and take care of all of my cares.  Wow!

I also have to give you this, because it is powerful.  Health is one of my cares and of course, God knows this, so He put on my heart Proverbs 4:20-22:  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.  HEALTH TO OUR FLESH!!!  From today on, I will be gorging myself on the Bread of life!  Thank you, Jesus!!!

NO CONDEMNATION

"When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:10-12

Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, no one has condemned you and neither do I.  Now go and sin no more.  We need to do what Jesus did.  Unfortunately, most churches tell us to go and sin no more and then you won't be condemned.  That is what the law told us, but we are not under the law.  We are under grace.  Grace doesn't empower us not to sin.  What grace does is produce an empowerment not to sin by the revelation of no condemnation.  When there is no condemnation, people are empowered to live victorious lives, lives that glorify Jesus.  When there is no condemnation in their conscience, or in their hearts, or in their minds, they live victorious lives.  They will go and sin no more.  When you receive no condemnation, you have power to go and sin no more.
